Womens Weekly - Ms. Van Der Sanden

Women’s Weekly

Women’s weekly is targeted mainly at women. This is shown through the name itself and the use of images on the web page. The images on the page and use of colours all connote that the targeted audience are women. The website uses the magazine as a guide for recipes implying that it is targeted at an elderly and more mature age group of women. The site mainly comes across as a learning curve in order for women to learn new things and to express their responsibilities of being a women. Women’s weekly also has different sub-contents within the magazine and webpage for example: Fashion: The best cosy cardigans from the high street, Real life: Living with Alzheimer's, Three ways to ease the pain of varicose veins, Brighten your garden with pretty pansies and Travel: Glorious mansions and gardens of Washington and Virginia. However there is a major difference between the website and the magazine itself. The magazine has a page and a half regarding cooking where as the webpage uses the magazine as an example of how, where and what to find in the magazine itself.
